Message

Commissioner, Nidhi Pandey, IIS
Dear Students, Teachers, and Parents,
On the momentous occasion of Foundation Day 2024 of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), I extend my heartfelt greetings to each one of you. From its humble beginnings in 1963, KVS has grown into an inspiring institution of excellence in school education. This remarkable journey continues to evolve, driven by an unwavering spirit of innovation and progress.

Dr. Shiharan Bose
Deputy Commissioner
I feel indeed privileged and proud to invite you to the website which stands as a threshold of KVS to enable us to spread our goals as per the rapidly changing pedagogical practices in school education.. Also is is a fortified bridge linking all the concerned associated with the school education to work together in this noble endeavour in the field of school education. We in the Bhubaneswar region provide a grand platform to the students through a wide spectrum of activities to nurture their talents and have their skills beyond the classroom walls in order to prepare them to serve this great country. I am confident that with the combined efforts of our hard working and dedicated employees, stakeholders, blessings and guidance of our patrons and the eternal inspiration of our Commissioner, we will continue to evolve consistently. Today KVS is proud to serve its huge student community numbering well over one million. Though the enormity of the task is certainly challenging, what stands out in KVS is the quality of its service rendered in the growth of the personality of its students. We all have been leading our offices to the best of our capability, though the challenges are still increasing. The biggest challenge is providing quality Education to children who have been entrusted to us. I understand that Education is not confined to academics alone. It is indeed our responsibility to cater to the development of Physical, Mental, Social, Cultural and Spiritual aspects of the children. And I am sure we will do our best in the noble cause of strengthening the nation. Deputy Commissioner (Dr. SHIHARAN BOSE )

Marching ahead with staunch principles to dispel illusions, ignorance and promoting acquisition of knowledge among messes, we are unfurling the flag of wisdom with dignity and pride. At the same time realising that the Gen Z- our young ones require information at the speed of light and proper guidance. Our curricular and practices are consistently reviewed to ensure that we are following the most updated practices, meeting all regulations and addressing the future needs of our students. Our school consistently follows the current trends and after brainstorming over the best plan of action to incorporate those trends, we zero in on the ones that are most appropriate to our classrooms. We explore the possibilities in every individual child, hone their skills and make them capable in pursuit of worthy skills in the service of the nation and humanity. Here comes the role of physical education, games and sports, co-curricular activities round the year and a joyful experiential learning system, wherein each child is encouraged to exhibit his latent talent. There are only two lasting bequests we can long to give our children. One of these is roots and the other, wings. Roots are offered by our parents and wings are handed down by our School. To conclude, PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya INS Chilka is filled with possibilities. We shall continue to equip your child with the knowledge, skills and motivation to pursue their passions and explore their potentials to the optimum possible. (SUBHASH CHANDRA JENA) Principal
