Vidyanjali

Vidyanjali is an initiative by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, designed to connect the community and volunteers directly with government and government-aided schools through a dedicated online portal. This platform enables individuals and organizations to contribute their services, assets, materials, or equipment to schools of their choice across India. Volunteers, including alumni of educational institutions, serving and retired teachers, scientists, government and semi-government officials, retired armed forces personnel, professionals, homemakers, members of the Indian diaspora, and other groups or companies, can register on the Vidyanjali portal to offer their support. Contributions can be made in the form of assets or materials or by sharing knowledge and skills through curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities. Broad categories for contributions include services and assets such as civil and electrical infrastructure, digital tools, extracurricular equipment, sports and yoga resources, health and safety aids, teaching and learning materials, maintenance and repairs, office stationery, furniture, and other essential support services. This initiative aims to strengthen educational institutions and foster community participation in shaping a better learning environment for students.
