Vidya Pravesh Programme at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya INS Chilka (Session 2026–27)

The Vidya Pravesh Programme for the academic session 2026–27 was conducted with great enthusiasm on 25 April 2026 at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya INS Chilka. The programme marked a joyful beginning for the newly admitted Class I students and aimed to ensure a smooth and stress-free transition into formal schooling through play-based learning.

The event was graced by the presence of Sh. Subhash Chandra Jena (Principal), Ms. Neelam Kandpal (Nominee Chairman), Lt. Tripti Nainwal (Lieutenant Education Officer & Officer In-charge of KV), and Mr. Amit Tokas (Head Master). Their esteemed presence added significance to the occasion and motivated both students and staff.

The programme began with a warm welcome of the dignitaries, followed by an introduction to the objectives of Vidya Pravesh in line with NEP 2020. Various engaging activities such as storytelling, rhymes, art and craft, fun games, and interactive sessions were organized to make the children feel comfortable, confident, and excited about their new learning environment.

Addressing the gathering, the Principal highlighted the importance of foundational learning and emphasized how Vidya Pravesh helps in developing communication skills, social behaviour, and basic literacy and numeracy among young learners. The dignitaries appreciated the sincere efforts of the teachers in creating a nurturing and joyful atmosphere.

The programme concluded on a happy note with enthusiastic participation from the children, marking a positive and memorable start to their educational journey.
